Kommetjie is a small little seaside village on the south west of the peninsula. It is located at the foot of the extremely beautiful
Kommetjie Pass which leads to Scarborough (the next seaside village.
I haven't established whether very much goes on in Kommetjie.
Many houses look like beach shanties, although there are some larger homes. I will report back when I find out more. The road to Kommetjie from Noordhoek and Fish Hoek is horrible,
and belies the charm that lies ahead at Kommetjie and beyond.
People come here to dive for crayfish in season, and I believe that surfers also frequent the sea here.
Living in Kommetjie
If you want to avoid suburbia and city living, and are fine with the quiet life, then this could be your place. It has great access to
Cape Point and Simonstown
