There are a number of very good Cape Town car hire companies like Sixt Car Hire, First Car Rental, Budget Car Hire and of course Avis to choose from. Their Cape Town car rental depots are situated in many convenient locations around Cape Town including the car rental depot at Cape Town airport.

Of course, you can still use Cape Town public transport, but the public transport is terribly limiting and requires a lot of planning. You can be guaranteed to waste a lot of time in the process.
