Alternatively, I have a little self catering holiday cottage for rental in Langebaan (in the old part of the village, right by the beach and lagoon, near the yacht club). We rent it out as weekend, Christmas and Easter holiday accommodation occasionally and it makes for a brilliant weekend away, even though I may say so myself. It has 2 bedrooms (one double bed, two single beds), a loft with some beds (where you can let kids sleep), a large bathroom an open plan lounge, dining area and kitchen.

If you want to bring pets, please discuss this with us, as we are pet friendly within reason.

Here’s how I’d describe it’s location. It’s on a road that runs parallel with the lagoon. The houses on the other side of the road are the waterfront houses, so basically we’re one house back from being on the waterfront. There’s an awesome deck area outside with a great braai.

Which means that it’s only about 30 seconds walk to the beach. The deck overlooks the houses in front, so there are great lagoon views.

It’s an ideal weekend getaway from Cape Town (1.75 hours drive to get there) for those of you who like watersports and relaxing by the beach.
