The World of Birds in Hout Bay is a great outing for families.

Rhodes Memorial
Rhodes Memorial is a great place to visit with children, who can enjoy playing on the steps and climbing onto the lions (not strictly allowed). The tea room / restaurant is pretty good with a wide view across the southern and northern Cape Town suburbs.
